4.2 Importing data

To use models in COUPLE, you first need to prepare and organize them. This workflow includes 3 steps:

1. Importing the models;
2. Setting up channels and interfaces (link);
3. Organizing the models into libraries (link).

Importing models

Importing DIRAC and MATLAB models

To import DIRAC and MATLAB models into COUPLE, complete the next steps:

1. Access the Model Library.
2. Go to the Import tab.
3. Browse the directory of the model.
4. Double-click on the model.
5. Fill in the desired fields in the Information tab.
6. Click Import (or Next if you want to access the Channels and Interfaces tab).

Importing PCH models

In COUPLE, you can also import Punch files and, if desired, the corresponding ECD of BDF files.

To import Punch files, complete the next steps:

1. Access the Model Library.
2. Go to the Import tab.
3. Browse the directory of the model.
4. Double-click on the model.
5. Select the correct units.
6. Select the correct dataset type.
7. Optional: add the BDF files.
8. Click Apply Configuration & Proceed.
