3.3 Fixed Licenses

License Spring environment

Fixed licenses are node-locked, meaning they can only be used on a single, predefined system. Once activated, a fixed license remains available at any time on that specific machine until its expiry date.
After receiving your license key, you must activate it on the computer where you intend to use the software. Once activated, the license will remain valid and usable on that machine until it expires. You can activate a fixed license either online or offline, depending on whether you have an internet connection.

Activating licenses online

To activate a fixed license on a machine with an internet connection, complete the next steps:

1. Open the VIBES license settings tool (instructions here).
2. Click Activate new license in the license dropdown.
3. Type (or paste) the 16-character license key.
4. Click Activate.

Activating licenses offline

If the computer where you plan to use the software does not have an internet connection, you can activate a fixed license offline. To do this, generate a license request file on the offline machine, then use another computer with internet access to create the corresponding license file. Finally, transfer the license file back to the offline machine to complete the activation.

To activate a fixed license on a machine without an internet connection, complete the next steps:

1. Open the VIBES license settings tool (instructions here).
2. Click Activate new license in the license dropdown.
3. Type (or paste) the 16-character license key.
4. Click Activate offline. A new window will open.
5. Save the activation file (*.req) in the desired location.
6. In a machine with an internet connection, go to https://offline.licensespring.com/ .
7. Upload the *.req file. A *.lic file will be generated and downloaded.
8. Go back to the offline machine and load the *.lic file.
