Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA)

Dirac is now able to perform a modal analysis study of a structure. When the required license EMA Module or Modal Analysis Base Module is loaded, a new tab called EMA can be found in the navigation bar of DIRAC. The algorithm used by DIRAC is based on the Principal Response Function (PRF) and LSCF algorithm.

Key features:

  • Possibility to select the modes of the synthesized FRFs.
  • Visualization of original, fitted, synthesized FRFs, as well as normal and residue modes.
  • Visualization of modes in the 3D viewer.
  • Full flexibility on the modal fit settings.
  • Stability diagram with poles and iteration information.
  • MAC and similarity matrices.

Other changes:

  • Activate scroll to latest measurement by default.
  • Added the ability to import multiple geometries through the import dialog.
  • Added a confirmation dialog on failed saving.
  • Improvement of error logging of 3D Viewer.

Bug fixes:

  • Fix visible excitations in 3D Viewer while changing frequency.
  • General stability improvements i.a. Setup Wizard, 3D-Viewer, Level-Bars, Data-Grid.
