SOURCE uses a “lazy loading” procedure to save time and memory. During the data import, you only import the data’s header information. To do any additional action, you must load the data. When the dataset is loaded, the status will turn to green.
To load the data you have to:
Loading operational data
You can also load the data using the shortcut CTRL+L.
You can unload data by right-clicking on it and selecting Unload Data or using the shortcut CTRL+U.
When re-opening a SOURCE project, the status of some datasets could be red. This happens when the location of the SOURCE file or the datasets has changed. Before performing any action, you must relocate the data.
To relocate the data you have to follow these steps:
If multiple users are working on the same SOURCE project, we highly recommend using Repositories.
SOURCE works by pointing to your large data files and loading them on command, thus, it is important to know the paths where the data is stored. Repositories let a user to “name” a specific location where data exists: this allows different users to store data in different locations but with the same repository names, making it easier to share projects.
To add a repository you have to:
Adding repositories
We recommend having one repository for the operational data and one repository for FRF data.
