9.5 Export

Exporting data

All analysis results can be exported to MAT and ATFX formats. Audio data can be exported in WAV format (scroll down on the page for more details). To export the data, right-click on a dataset in the Results card and select Export. If multiple datasets are simultaneously selected (using CTRL or SHIFT + click), all datasets will be exported in a single file.

Exporting plots

A plot can be exported by right-clicking in the white space within a plot (not on the curve itself), selecting Export to and choosing the correct file type between the available ones. An example is shown in the following figure.

Exporting audio files

Also audio files can be exported in SOURCE. Of course, only the time domain blocked forces and TPA syntheses can be exported as audio files. The audio files are exported in WAV format. To export the data, right-click on a dataset in the Results card and select Export. If multiple datasets are simultaneously selected (using CTRL or SHIFT + click), all datasets will be exported in a single file.

Additional settings for the export of audio files can be found in the Preferences. In the Export Audio category, you can edit the setting for the export. In particular, you can decide:

  • the File Creation Mode. This determines if multiple datasets or channels should be combined into one multi-channel file or if they are exported in separate files.
  • the Volume Normalization Mode. You must decide whether the maximum volume level is determined per channel, per dataset, for all datasets or if the maximum volume should be set to a fixed value.
  • Full-scale Value. You can specify the full-scale volume value in engineering units (EU). This will only be taken into account if the Volume Normalization Mode is set to “Fixed value”, otherwise it is neglected.

A picture of the Export Audio preference is shown.
