In January 2020, Eric Pasma (VIBES’ business developer) and Dennis the Klerk (VIBES’ advisor) visited Japan to give seminars on VIBES’ methodology comprising of component based TPA and experimental substructuring. The seminars were co-organized with VIBES’ partner TOYO Corporation and took place in TOYO’s branch offices in Tokyo and Nagoya.
In total, Eric and Dennis gave two full day seminars, which were attended by 100 participants of 40 different OEM’s and their Tier 1 companies. The program included trends in the automotive industry, theory about the VIBES methodology, many industrial application examples and live demonstrations of VIBES’ software DIRAC and the Toolbox for MATLAB.

According to the Japanese partners, the seminars triggered admiration and interest, in both the methodology and the software applications. After the seminars, several companies have contacted VIBES to further discuss the options for a DIRAC license.
We are very thankful to TOYO Corporation for making these seminars possible and look forward to more co-creation initiatives in the future.
