An introduction to our technology

Discover the benefits of a modular NVH approach for your application with DIRAC! DIRAC is a crucial extension to your current way-of-working. DIRAC enhances the process and quality of FRF measurements while reducing overall time spent in the lab, preparing and post-processing. To discover what virtual point technology adds to your current R&D processes, we believe that hands-on experience is the best way to evaluate DIRAC. At the same time, we understand that finding the right time and (hardware) resources for evaluation can be a hurdle.

Therefore, we now offer introduction packages, for you to experience this modular NVH approach with DIRAC. With a compact and intensive measurement campaign, we will together create a test-based model of a component or vehicle of your choosing. We take care of organizing the right hardware during the measurements.

Classic FRF Measurement

DIRAC has the following benefits versus traditional FRF measurements:

  • Clear definition of measurement instructions using 3D preparation
  • Less measurement time than with your current software
  • Traceability of what is measured (3D prepare and adding notes/photos)
  • Higher accuracy in multi-kHz range (due to quality checks and optimizations on-the-fly)
  • Full compatibility with other software using industry standards (ATFX, MATLAB)
  • Rich export formats meta data and definitions of sensor & impact positions, angles and directions

Virtual Point Modeling & Quality

Additionally, we demonstrate the technological advantages, to prepare you for the next-generation of modular sound & vibration engineering:

  • Acquiring rotational Degrees of Freedom required for substructuring and Blocked Forces
  • Acquiring nodal FRFs compatible with CAE models needed for hybrid simulations
  • Additional layers of quality indicators that evaluate the dataset per measurement point, per virtual point and per component as a whole

Tech Training

Besides the dataset of the tested component, a full-day Technology Training is included, highlighting the basics of virtual point modeling and an outlook into technologies such as Blocked Force source characterisation and Dynamic Substructuring.

Orientational Tech Program Offers

Offer details are in the tabs below. Optionally, we can arrange a Müller-BBM PAK MK2-gen2 measurement system equipped with 48 ICP channels and 12 accelerometers for the time of measurement, at a small additional price. This allows you to experience the full potential DIRAC also if you do not have the best hardware match available.

Program Package 1

Engineering project on high-quality virtual-point modeling in DIRAC of a single component or vehicle with 2 to 4 coupling points. All steps in DIRAC are done together with the customer.

  • 3-day on-site test-based modeling campaign with DIRAC
    • Import of CAD model and Design of Experiment in 3D
    • High-quality component measurement (multi-kHz range) in your lab
    • Analysis and optimization of results
    • Export to your existing NVH analysis software
  • DIRAC full license for 90 days

COMPONENT & BLOCKED FORCES + TRAINING + DIRAC + SOURCE

Program Package 2

Engineering project on high-quality virtual-point modeling in DIRAC of a single component or vehicle with 2 to 4 coupling points. Additionally, an operational measurement and Blocked Force source characterisation is performed using the pre-release of SOURCE. All steps in DIRAC and SOURCE are done together with customer.

  • 3-day on-site test-based modeling campaign with DIRAC
    • Import of CAD model and Design of Experiment in 3D
    • High-quality component measurement (multi-kHz range) in your lab
    • Analysis and optimisation of results
  • Blocked force characterisation using SOURCE pre-release
    • Operational Measurement
    • Blocked Force characterisation and validation
    • Component TPA prediction & auralisation of results
  • DIRAC SOURCE pre-release full license for 90 days
