Getting to Delft
Delft is in the west of the Netherlands, between The Hague and Rotterdam. It has its own train station (Delft) in the city center, plus a second station (Delft Campus) near the TU Delft area. VIBES HQ is closer to the Delft station in the city center.
The two main airports are:
- Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) — the largest airport, with the most international connections. Schiphol has a train station directly under the terminal.
- Eindhoven (EIN) — a smaller airport, often used by low-cost carriers. It has no train station of its own; you first take a short bus to Eindhoven Centraal, then a train.
From Schiphol Airport (AMS)
Take a direct intercity train from Schiphol to Delft. The journey is about 40 minutes, with trains roughly every 30 minutes throughout the day. No change of train is needed.
Alternatively, if your first destination is Rotterdam, you can take an Intercity Direct train from Schiphol to Rotterdam Centraal (Intercity Direct train supplement applied, €3.20 per one-way trip). The journey is about 25 minutes, with trains every 10-20 minutes throughout the day. No change of train is needed.
Follow the signs to the trains under the terminal and buy a ticket at an NS machine, the NS app, or with a contactless bank card at the gates.
From Eindhoven Airport (EIN)
Take bus 400 or 401 from the airport to Eindhoven Centraal (about 25 minutes), then a train from Eindhoven to Delft (about 1 hour 15 minutes). Total travel time is around 1 hour 50 minutes, including the transfer.
Delft is on the main line between The Hague and Rotterdam. Approximate direct times:
- Rotterdam Centraal → Delft: about 12 minutes
- The Hague (Den Haag Centraal) → Delft: about 12 minutes
- The Hague (Den Haag HS) → Delft: about 10 minutes
- Amsterdam Centraal → Delft: about 1 hour
International high-speed trains (for example from Brussels or Paris) stop at Rotterdam Centraal, where you change to a local train for the short ride to Delft.
It is a 10-minute walk to get to VIBES HQ from Delft station. Plan your route here.
Delft is reachable from the A13 motorway between The Hague and Rotterdam.
If you drive, please note that Delft city center is a car-free zone. Therefore, please check parking near the venue in advance, as city-center parking in Delft is limited and paid.
Our recommendations for parking space are:
- Zuidpoortgarage Delft or Marktgarage Delft: € 20,60 maximum per day, with options to purchase multiple-day tickets for a discounted rate. You cannot reserve a parking spot in advance at these locations.
- ParkBee Delft Centrum location: € 20,52 maximum per day. You can reserve a parking spot in advance at this location.
Accommodations
To make it as convenient as possible to get to the venue, we recommend staying in Delft throughout the duration of the event. You can find information regarding hotels on Delft Tourist Information website.
