Meet our new Software Engineer Marina Giannaraki

16 May 2025

Another new addition to the VIBES team! Meet Marina Giannaraki, strengthening our DIRAC team as Software Engineer. She would like to introduce herself to you in this news article.

About me

Hello! I’m Marina and I’m from the beautiful island of Crete in Greece. I’m passionate about all things creative and active, whether it’s dancing, making DIY crafts or sky diving. I also enjoy traveling, and trying new food, especially if it involves something sweet that I get to bake myself!

I love collaborating with others and bring a playful, enthusiastic energy to every team I join. People often say I have a unique way of looking at problems, which makes me great at brainstorming and finding creative solutions.

About my background and education

I’m an Electrical and Computer Engineer, with an integrated Master’s degree from the Technical University of Crete. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work; from a young age, I’d take apart electronics just to explore their insides (and usually manage to put them back together!). That curiosity evolved into a love for engineering.

What really sealed it for me was when I first encountered algorithms and programming. It felt natural, like it just clicked, and that experience made my choice of study feel both exciting and obvious.

Professionally, I’ve worked on a variety of projects. I developed a programming learning app for children using Unity, contributed to ERP systems in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors, and helped build an Android app from scratch to manage order processing and warehouse logistics. My background combines technical precision with creativity, something I think gives me a strong advantage when building and improving real-world systems.

About my role at VIBES

At VIBES, I’ve joined the DIRAC team as a software engineer. I’ll be supporting the development of new features and working on bug fixes to help enhance the DIRAC application, which supports engineers in measuring and modeling sound and vibrations for early-stage vehicle development.

What drew me to VIBES was the engineering challenge, the innovative product, and—equally important—the strong team culture. From my very first conversations, I felt a great fit with the people here. I’m excited to grow professionally, bring my attention to detail and curiosity to the team, and help shape DIRAC into something even better.

On behalf of the team:

Welcome Marina!
