1.5 Requesting trial licenses

Trial licenses are fixed licenses (see the explanation here) that are node-locked to a single machine, with a duration of one month. If we suggested you to get a trial license to try our software, please complete these four steps:

1. Register to the VIBES portal.
2. Download and install SOURCE.
3. Request a trial fixed license sending a .json file.
4. Activate the trial fixed license.

Step 3: Request a trial license

To request a trial license you need to open the VIBES License Manager and generate a .json file. To do so, complete the following steps:

1. Open SOURCE.
2. Open the VIBES License Manager.
   • When opening SOURCE for the very first time, the VIBES License Manager will pop up automatically.
   • For the next times, go to the Home page, clicking on the symbol that can be found at the top left corner of the working page. Click on License Manager at the bottom left of the page.
3. Click Options.
4. Select Create license request. A .json file will be generated.
5. Save the file.
6. Send the .json file to your contact person at VIBES or to info@vibestechnology.com. VIBES will generate a trial license for you (.bin file).

Step 4: Activate the trial license

After sending the .json file, VIBES will generate a trial license, in the form of .bin file. You now need to activate the trial license.

To activate the trial license, complete the following steps:

1. Open the VIBES License Manager.
2. Click Options
3. Select Load local license file.
4. Browse for the .bin file containing the licenses and open it.
5. Press Continue.

The licenses are now activated, and you can try SOURCE!
